When one hits you, Astro will be reset to the last checkpoint, and Selene’s capsule will open. Remember, once you’re done collecting all the Special Bots, you’ll be able to transfer them to new game Astro Bot. For a full list of All Bots Locations and All VIP Bots in the latest title, check out our Astro Bot PS5 guide. A full walkthrough will take you step-by-step from the start of the game to 100% completion, while the Collectibles section helps you find every Artefact and Puzzle Piece in the game! There’s even a Trophies section to help you earn that coveted Platinum Trophy.
These collectibles add an extra layer of depth and nostalgia to the game. The game itself effectively utilizes the DualSense controller’s features, resulting in an engaging and innovative gaming experience. Although the game is relatively short, it packs a lot of fun and demonstrates the potential of the PS5 and DualSense in this new generation of gaming.
The speed of the SSD as levels instantly load is impressive, as nothing was this fast with the PlayStation 4. Astro’s Playroom makes the case that the DualSense Controller is the best in all gaming. It perfectly showcases the capabilities of the device in fun and engaging ways.
Those who hop into Astro’s Playroom today will be met with a message that a “mysterious portal” has opened up in the center of the game’s collectible hub, the PS LABO. It also teases that a selection of gatchas, or collectibles that can be earned via an in-game arcade machine, have been added, too. Maybe the most impressive piece of the PlayStation 5 hardware is its new controller, but it’ll only be as good as the games that support it.
The robots can also be displayed on the television instead of the controller screen by swiping up on the touch pad. When the robots are on the television, it is possible to physically interact with the robots using the PlayStation camera’s depth capabilities. As mentioned before, Astro’s Playroom demonstrates the PS5’s potential.
Dualshock
Take when you’re exiting the beach and you’re walking against the fans that are blowing sand across you. The microphone makes the wind more intense while the vibrations of the sand are felt as the controller feels like a sandstorm. Explore four worlds, each one showcasing innovative gameplay using the new and versatile features of the PS5 DualSense™ wireless controller. The main boss for this level is the Demo 1 Dinosaur, more commonly known as the Demo 1 T.
These include “It Only Does Everything” and “Welcome to the Third Place” (PS3), and “Greatness Awaits” and “For the Players” (PS4). It refers to the “Lonely Rolling Star” track from the official soundtrack. Both the game and the Trophy involve rolling a ball around so that it gets bigger and bigger. The “Cool Hoarder” Trophy, awarded for getting all the Puzzle Pieces in Cooling Springs, is named after 1996 PS1 game Cool Boarders, developed by UEP Systems.
Holding the cross, Astro will launch lasers that will allow him to soar into the air. The laser can also break windows on the floor or kill enemies, especially those that are better left untouched. The following page of the guide for Astro’s Playroom contains some tips for getting started, which are aimed primarily at novice players. Here we also describe a few elements that you might have overlooked.
Astro’s Playroom first launched in 2020 as a pre-installed PS5 exclusive that highlighted the DualSense controller’s features. The platformer also paved the way for the successful Astro Bot, Team Asobi’s hit game from 2024 that earned numerous Game of The Year awards. While Astro Bot may have eclipsed Astro’s Playroom, it seems developers have not forgotten about the adorable Astro’s first adventure, as the robot’s first game recently received new content. We know you’ve just got your brand new PS5 console and you’re probably excited to experience all that it has to offer. That said, we really recommend you don’t rush through Astro’s Playroom, as it’s an experience that deserves to be savoured.
Gusty Gateway Easter Eggs
Up the same cliff as the Ico easter egg, on the opposite side you can find a crowd observing a Bot teeing off with a golf club while wearing a PS VR headset. This references Everybody’s Golf VR by Clap Hanz, released in 2019. Up until https://mb66.golf/ , Everybody’s Golf was called Hot Shots Golf in North America.
When you encounter a windmill in the game, the interaction will start automatically. Each level of the game has at least a few checkpoints, so do not worry if Astro is accidentally killed. Especially if he’s grabbed a collector’s item while performing a difficult stunt. You can also go through the levels from the start and collect the coins that are renewed there. This Trophy is earned by doing well in the races in Network Speed Run, which is located between the blue and green doorways in the CPU Plaza.
Gpu Jungle Easter Eggs
That PS4 game was the sort of thing you boot up once, mess around with for 30 minutes, and then forget it exists. As you can tell, there’s not much of a story with this game, but you don’t need a fully fleshed-out plot for this demo. Astro’s Playroom has you controlling one of the Astro Bots as you explore different areas to find artifacts. These aren’t just any items but other accessories and items from PlayStation’s history.
There’s even a trophy room where you can interact with them, using your little robot hands to turn on a gigantic PSP Go, or hop on the eject button of an original PlayStation to see the lid pop open. The first level of the game opens with Astro barreling down a waterslide before splashing in some water and walking up onto a beach. It’s hard to put into words, but the thunk of landing in the water is a dull, flat sensation that feels, well, like landing in water. Similarly, there’s a grainy effect when you walk across the beach, as if you could feel the sand. The vibrations even alternate between the left and right sides of the controller as Astro walks, so you sense each footstep.
